Lastly, my nieghbor had a 2001 XR 250 for a while, and I rode it several times. XR250: a fairly soft suspended, detuned trail bike. Good for up to moderate trail speeds and for guys who aren't too large. Very reliable stock. However, I vividly recall a day of kicking, pushing and towing the XR 250 in an attempt to start it, to no avail.

  • I spent some time between riding the XR 250 and the XR 400. Although the bigger sister is powerful and stands back for nothing the power/agaility ratio of the 250 is magnificent. Although it lacks a bit on the power side, this is a great bike for.
